Horseback Riding in St. Lucia
Explore both the lush rain forest trails and the historical estate while horseback riding on Morne Coubaril’s botanical 18th Century estate. The most enchanting way to go back in time and learn about the way of life centuries ago and experience the raw beauty of the forest.
What to expect?
Your friendly guide will match you up with one of our local St. Lucia horses and provide you with a safety helmet and explain clear riding instructions on how to control your horse. Once your guide is satisfied that you are both comfortable and in control you’ll be ready to head off on your adventure. Follow your guide down the main track as many would have years ago checking on the days progress, past the replica Carib Village displaying the simple yet functional architecture of the indigenous. Enjoy hilltop views of the majestic Petit Piton, Soufriere town and the famous Qualibou volcano. As you ride your horse along the lush trails you will see mango, papaya, coconut and soursop trees.
What to bring for your horseback riding?
We recommend that you wear long pants and closed toe shoes. Much of the trails are shaded but it’s still a good idea to bring along your sunscreen and most importantly your camera. There is a bar on the estate should you wish to purchase a refreshing drink after your ride.
Weight Limit of 220lbs applies.
